I founded the Forde Polymath Award at the University of Toronto, supporting engineering students who are good at more than one thing. I co-founded ENGage, a one-week summer engineering camp at U of T for young people from under-served neighbourhoods, and I have served on the board of Tafelmusik. The oldest rule of the village has to become the first rule of engineering: you build with everyone, and you do not build for people you have never sat down with.
